Kýma med spa & skin health is proud to offer ZERONA treatment to all of their patients looking to eliminate stubborn fat deposits. Zerona is an FDA approved non-surgical method for fat reduction using state-of-the-art laser technology. This groundbreaking body slimming procedure reduces fat cells while sculpting the body and eliminating the discomfort and downtime associated with surgical procedures. Research has shown that Zerona can reduce anywhere from three to nine inches of body fat in 18 days. (We have successfully provided this treatment to over 300 patients with documented results ranging from 5.0 to 17.5 inches, treatment time 6 to 12+ treatments, results may vary and are based on the following factors: patients participation, BMI , diet and exercise).
Why Is Zerona Different?
Zerona is a standing laser that is applied externally. It emits light from five points, four of which are attached to flexible arms that can be adjusted to treat more than one are of the body simultaneously. The low-level light emitted from the laser stimulates fat cells to naturally create small pores, allowing the liquefied fatty tissue to escape into the interstitial area of the body. Next, the lymphatic system, which is responsible for the removal of interstitial fluid, assists the body in disposing of the fat during its natural detoxification process. Once relieved of the fat tissue, the treated cells shrink in size. Zerona improves the overall body physique due to its cascade effect, which leads to a consistent reduction of fat outside of the treatment area.
Zerona is the first FDA approved non-invasive cosmetic procedure to effectively remove excess fat while producing natural-looking results without any pain, bruising, scarring or recovery time. Zerona body sculpting results can be achieved in just six 40-minute sessions. Zerona is an effective alternative to liposuction surgery for select patients only.
Who is a candidate for Zerona?
Because the procedure is non-invasive, many people are able to undergo Zerona treatments. The best candidates for Zerona fall into one of two categories:
- people who have established a healthy lifestyle and are seeking to lose the last few pounds separating them from their goals, or
- individuals who would like to use Zerona to accelerate their path to weight-loss and healthy living.
What areas does Zerona improve?
• Stomach
• Love-handles
• Thighs
• Buttocks
• Arms
• Chin
• And other areas
Who is not a candidate for Zerona?
People who are obese, or are looking for a way to lose weight without changing their lifestyle may not get the results they are looking for with Zerona. Because the Zerona procedure “empties” fat cells rather than physically removing them, it is possible for them to “fill up” again with more fat if a healthy diet and exercise regimen is not maintained. *If you are pregnant or wear a pacemaker, this procedure may not be for you.
How is the procedure performed?
After discussing with your specialist your goals and target-areas, you will schedule a series of 40-minute treatment sessions over a two-week period of time. During these treatments, a low-level or cold laser is applied toward the treatment area, though nothing will touch your skin. While you relax comfortably (there is no pain associated with the treatment), the laser liquefies the fatty material held within the fat cells, which is then released through tiny, temporary pores the laser creates in the cell membrane to allow the liquid fat to leak into the interstitial area of the body. From there, the lymphatic system absorbs, processes, and eliminates the liquid fat along with other unwanted bodily fluids, leaving the fat cells undamaged yet emptied of their plump cargo, resulting in the loss of inches from your body mass.
Is the procedure painful?
No, there is absolutely no pain associated with the Zerona procedure, which is one of the primary benefits of Zerona compared to other weight-loss procedures.
Zerona can be used to treat multiple body areas such as:
- Abdomen
- Lower back
- Thighs
- Buttocks
- Hips
- Arms
- Neck
- Chin
What is the recovery like?
There is no recovery time associated with Zerona, since it is completely non-invasive and doesn’t require healing. While there are typically no limitations on your activities during or after the treatment process, your specialist may recommend that you increase your water intake and potentially maintain a supplement regimen during the treatment process, in order to support the lymphatic system.
When will I begin to see results?
Results are usually evident about a week after the treatment period is complete, with some individuals seeing a difference even sooner.
What will the long-term results be like?
The Zerona procedure helps eliminate the fat contained within your fat cells, but doesn’t remove the cells themselves, so there is a possibility that the weight you lose as a result of the treatment can be gained back. However, healthy diet and exercise routines will significantly reduce this risk, and help maintain your results long-term.
What are the risks?
Because Zerona is non-invasive, requires no anesthetic, incisions, or dermal trauma there are no true risks associated with it. If you are pregnant or wear a pacemaker this procedure may not be for you.
How many sessions are needed?
The Zerona treatment period spans two weeks, during which you will receive six, or more, evenly spaced treatment sessions lasting 40 minutes each. Calculate BMI Zerona Recommendations for Success:
